Indie gamedev community have some strong messages to share. Real street talk. And it makes sense, these guys are making software products, living off selling them, building their names from zero. They manage their projects by themselves. They seem to like the tech and games a lot. Yet, they have no illusions, or otherwise they would not survive. Importantly, they have skin in the game. As an outsider, it seems this is very rough industry. Ben Horowitz might say these guys are doing a “hard thing” all the time. The most successful ones — or the ones who survived the longest, which may be the same thing — should know something worth learning.
